Problems with dark pictures, flash problems, lcd problems

Ok, when I take a picture, I get usually a dark image. The flash fires off quickly, but the camera takes a picture well after the flash has gone off. I have tried different settings, put it in auto, and the problem persists. Also, I have the LCD which goes on and off after taking a picture. The batteries are new, I tried other batteries, and have had no luck. I just took a picture 8 hours ago and it turned out fine. The camera is only 4 1/2 months old! argh! it's past the 90 day warranty! What is up? Also, by the viewfinder, the little light next to the flash flashes yellow when the LCD is screwing up.
