The difference between DV and DVCam is not the speed. DV records at 10 microns and DVCam records 15 microns (more information) thats why you only get 40 min in one 60 min DV tape.

    Indeed DV and DV-cam are exactly the same in picturequality cuase whats writing to tape is the same. Difference is tapespeed wich gives more space for dv-cam, so you have less dropouts and audio is locked. Thats it. Someone who sees teh difference needs work on his eyes
