Looking for a playback option for Mini DV tapes other than a camera or an expensive system such as Sony DSR-11

Does anyone know of an inexpensive DVC recorder / player that would have a firewire connection. I am looking for inexpensive solution without buying a camera and taking it apart just for the player and firewire connection.
