AI'm teling you this is it. Spend $3.00 to be sure instead of a whole picture tube!!! Re: Re: Trouble with a Sony Trinitron Model KV-32S20 @ Anthony - 22nd Apr 2004 3:23 Guess what...? My TV is now working perfectly. I have a friend that is a TV repairman and he looked up info on the Sony Web site and his advice worked perfectly. The problem was with a resistor. If you take the back off your TV(or someone else that knows what NOT to touch) find the circuit board with a little resistor on the left panel that is numbered R-536. It is a .47 Om 1/4 watt fusable resistor. My neighbor soldered a new on in and PRESTO, it works PERFECTLY. I hope this helps. Anthony have not had ONE problem since it works great. a.heiter@juno.com

It sounds like your set is going into K1 shutdown due to a weak picture tube. Post back the number of blinks and I can say for sure and give you some advice on how you might be able to correct the problem. You might also want to check out www.FreeFlatScreens.com/default.aspx?referer=75091 65 for an opportunity to earn a free replacement for this set with a little effort on your part.
