My problem is that I have Win98 (not SE). Somewhere I read about tranferring through firewire, but the camcorder doesn't have connection for a firewire.

U sure yours does not have a DV port next to the 5 pin usb connector. Wierd though.

yes it does have a firewire, well mine does (NV-GS11). must use firewire to transfer video to pc. can't use usb2 properly...mofos
