Please help me! I have read about hitting the camera twice to get the error message off and the focus to work again. I tried this method and it did not work. Did I have to really hit it hard? I have 4 kids and would really like to get it working

again. I'm afraid to hit the camera too hard, I don't want to break it more. Should I try again? Is this the best way to fix the problem?? Please help me!
