HomeVCR won't switch on I have a Sony SLV-E1000 which has been unused for over 12 months. It has been stored in cool dry conditions but now that I have reconnected it to the power supply it remains on standby and will not switch on. I thought it might be the dew circuitry but after waiting 48 hours it still will not switch on. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

do you still have the machine qnd would you like to sell it? Bump I had the same problem with my SLV-E1000 VIDEO and all I did was take a hair drier and heated up the video by blowing hot air where you put yor cassette (make sure you donot over do it) and then plug the video in mains and see if it works. I have a question if you can help I need a manual for this video where can I download it from or can I order it from as I have aproblem when I insert the video cassette in the video it comes straight out and don't know what to do. So will be grateful if you can help |
