Anybody know how to record video images from a FireWire connection into a Panasonic NV GS 50 home camcorder?

I've lost the instruction manual to my Panasonic NV GS 50 camcorder and although it works perfectly as a playback unit for capturing DV footage to PC via FireWire, I can't get it to record the footage back onto DV through the FireWire. If anybody knows how to fix this please let can you help?
