Whats the difference between RG6 and RG6U

RG6 vs RG6U

Hi, I was just wondering what the difference was between these two types of cables. Any sort of reply would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Yuri M

The difference used to be that the U stood for "universal" which meant that the RG6U cable could be used for multiple purposes. Nowadays, however, there are no differences in the cables.

I believe the "U" refers to a military specification.
