I need drivers

Hi i have just bought a new JVC DVL-820u and was wondering how to transfer the DV tape onto the PC i am using XP and i have a Compusa Firewire card that works fine. when i plug the cam up it makes the noise like its reading it but doesnt show the extra E drive. i think the problem is i don thave drivers for the Firewire to read the cam. PLEASE ANY HELP WILL DO thanks
