My father brought PS2 from the U.S and fixed it with a made in China Goldstar T.V and the pictures on the screen is black and white.

I am in Ghana, so i want you to give the guidelines to which my T.V can become coloured. From what i know, the problem may be from my T.V, but still i have tried with so many types of T.V like Orion. But still the screen appears black and white. I want you to explain to me why it is like that. Or is there any T.V that can make the screen coloured. The game was bought new, no body has ever used it before.
