Yesterday, I tried to retreive the photos from my camera using the USB port as well as inserting the disk on my PC's CD drive. I get a Disk Error 13:01. What does this mean? Does this mean I lost all of my photos on the disk, over 100 pictures.

Did you get your images back? And, if so, what did you do to get them back? I have a mavica cd350 that was having the same kinds of problems. I used a program called badcopy Pro to pull the pics from the cd using the cd player in my computer. It pulled all of the pics with no problem. A couple of notes that might help. We had this problem after taking a trip and the camera got knocked around on the airplane is my guess. There is a little metal tab that moves the lens that was stuck. After moving the little metal tab the lens was freed and the camera works fine now. MY FD75 DID THE SAME THING. I WAS ABLE TO PULL THE PHOTO FILE NAMES UP ON THE DESKTOP ONE TIME. I CLICKED TO SEE THEM AS THUMBNAILS AND THATS WHEN I GOT THE DISK ERROR. I REMOVED THE METAL COVER FROM THE FLOPPY, LOOKED INSIDE CAMERA, TURN THE TURNTABLE THAT SPINS THE DISK, TRIED THE FLOPPY IN ANOTHER DESKTOP AND TWO MORE CAMERAS, BUT STILL GET THE SAME ERROR. DID YOU RECOVER YOUR PICS AND HOW DIED YOU DO IT? Did you ever find out what this error means? |
