Hi. My Sony dvd player (DVP C670D) is reading "no disc" when it's full of discs.

I tried shaking and tapping it a little thinking that maybe there was something on the lens, but that didn't work. Any ideas? Is this something I can fix myself? If, so how much will it cost and is it worth it? I'm not too good with electronics, but I can take things off and put things back on. Thanks in advance, Jackie
