Happy New Year My 5 year MVA CD-1000 had error 13.01 in mid June 2005. Found your Solution detail article but until now I took it apart carefully with notes and took pics with my Sony Cybershot. When I disconnected the ribbon cable(the one that has a little foam pad with adhesive)in the viewfinder module, the little plastic end that aids in the insertion came apart. That was in step 6 and I surrendered. Are you still help in fixing this camera? If so, Please email me. Sincerely Mary Hobbs
