Sony KP-46WT500

My low voltage power supply went out on my 1.5 year old sony KP-46WT500 tv. The repair guy told me to replace the whole circuit board. The price he quoted me... $630.00!! According to the sony parts website that part (and only one part is needed) was $185.00. The repair guy told me it was $427.00! Since its the whole circuit board does anyone know how hard it would be to replace it myself.
