Home | Previous messageThis just happened with my TV. A repairman came out and replaced the "horizontal accelerator"??? which was only a $25 part. This got the TV to try to start, but then it would hard shut down. The guy said that meant that the CRT was blown. Basically, I need to buy a new TV.

I had the same things. Horizontal went, then the transformer....arghh, only 8 years old....did not last as long as my rca or emerson (which are supposedly far inferior than sony) |
