I get the "triangle up" indicator & beeps all the time.

I get the "triangle up" indicator & beeps all the time --with VTR. I cannot play or rewind film. I've replaced small lithium battery, I used well charged battery pack and adapter. I've left door open, tried different tape cartridges in play or rewind and they wont run and I assure you there is no moisture -- I cannot figure out what's wrong & why VTR won't play tape and how to eliminate/fix the "triagle up" indicator. Any help is appreciated. Martin
