Sony TV kv35v65 picture shuts off while watching

My sony Kv35v65 When we turn on the TV and a few minutes later the picture is gone. We shut it off then turn it back on you hear the show then you hear a click then the picture shows up we feel that the click noise turns on the picture and that is what is failing.We had this same problem 6 mos before the warentee ran out they said that they couldn't make it fail when we took it home it didn't do it until 1 yr later now we don't have a warrentee any more. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
