Home | Previous messageAfter having formatted the memory stick with the cardreader on my laptop which runs on winxp I tried to use the stick in my sony dsc-p5 but all I got was the C:13:01 error message. So I tried to format it again but eith FAT instead of FAT32 which is the regular format on winxp. Now the disc adapter which I use on my desctop to read the memory sticks worked again with the stickt, my camara still gave me the message of not being able to read the stick so I removed the stick, got into the setup mode, reinserted the stick and formatted it with the camara. This worked, I hope this can help you.

I have got the same error too and really appreciate your posting. Else the memory stick would have been in trash can by now. Thanks! Sebastian, I was getting the same error message on my old Cyber-Shot and ready to pitch the camera & the damn memory stick in the trash. I tried your solution and it now works! Thank you so much for posting! BTW, the people I spoke to at Sony were NO help at all with their tech-support. The only thing I was told was that I fried the stick while transferring a bunch of files to my Mac when the batteries died... that's all they could offer. Thanks again for your help... Sony should hire you! |
