Recently, my rear projection tv crops the image, and text is always cropped at the sides.

Can anyone help me with a solution to this? Is there a factory reset mode to be accessed thru the remote control or something? Someone came to fix a problem with it a while ago (high pitched whistle) but I've noticed recently that I now have a cropped image. There is nothing in th manual to switch into a different screen ratio mode... Much appreciated if you can help.
