A square hole in the JVC DVM50U´S LCD SCREEN

My problem is the following , I have this cam JVC DVM50U, and some weeks ago, it became crazy. The LCD monitor displays the images upside down, the menu-knob doesn´t work...and many others strange things. Checking the LCD screen I´ve noticed a small square hole showing a little black chip, very small. So I started to think I´ve lost the cover of that part leaving that square hole uncovered. My question is, do you have this square hole in the lcd screen? This is located in the right side (looking at the screen opened)in middle part. Thanks a lot in advance for your help!!!!
