Format C:13:01 Error

I have a Sony FD87 Mavica Digital Camera. I use a floppy disc. (I don't think it has a separate memory stick...is that right). Anyway, I took several pictures with the camera and then turned it off for about 5 minutes. When I went to use it again, the format error C:13:01 cam onto the screen with a around disc flashing up in the right hand corner. All of my discs are formatted. It has a new Battery. I've tried everything. I don't know what else to do. Help.
