HomeThe dreaded safeguard mode. I am not certain if this suggestion will work every time but when your camera goes into safeguard mode (excuse me, DREADED safeguard mode), try ejecting the tape you are using, completely remove it from the camcorder, then put the tape back in. The camera I was using appeared to function normally again. Can't promise you it will work, but give it a try.
