Problems with multimedia card?

Im not able to save pictures on the MMC card in the camera. It works well until I turn off the cam. When its turned back on, theres no more pics on the card. I got a 32 mb mmc card, verbatim. Not available anymore at bureau en gros or future shop. Somebody did see this before? thanks, guillaume.
