analog edit to DVD

I have captured analog video from my camcorder. It has been edited but I cannot burn a DVD. One message says it (the DVD) is the wrong media, yet it works fine when I capture from my DV Cam. Also, with Studio 8 I would like to update to FX but was told when I called Pinnicle that it was not available for Studio 8 TX Bruce
