Can't regain control of my television.

When switching my 3 year old KV-32FS13 from video 4 (DVD player) to video 1 (VCR), using the control on the television itself, I only got as far as VHF/UHF before it "locked up". The TV now displays the Favorite Channels display - which I never use - against a background of white noise (since I have nothing connected to the VHF/UHF input)and will not respond to any commands from either the remote control or the controls on the TV itself. Disconnecting the power overnight did nothing to help the situation. Anybody else have this problem? Any ideas on how to recover control of my set? TIA for any help. S
