Changin the laser pick up to my CD player Sony CDP 250.

I Bought one new laser pick up N: KSS212A. Was not available the original type N: KSS155A. The delear told me that it is the same to use 212 instead of 155 but after the istallation the cd player it is not working. So I installed the old one again and the player return to run like before. The problem is that there is noise in the audio exit. Do you know if the KSS212A is compatible with CDP250 ? Thank you, Mario.
