HomeAre component video cables different from ordinary RCA-type composite cables? I want to use the component video output(3 seperate cables) on my DVD player, but don't want to buy the expensive cable. I have a high quality left/right/video cable that I would like to use instead. Will this work properly? In other words, does each component cable have a special internal design, or are they ordinary RCA-type composite cables?

Hi, They usually are BNC type cables. (on both side) but, 3 standard RCA cables can work for a small distance. Just try ! Patrick |
