in need of laser head replacement?

hi there, i have a sony cdp-x3000 cd player (http://www.sony.jp/ProductsPark/Models/Old/CDP-X3000_J_1/) which i believe is in need of a laser head replacement (player skips, rejects cd's etc.). just wondering about the cost of such a replacement? is it worth getting fixed? oh, and i'm situated in sydney, australia. any help most appreciated ! regards, brett
