HomeC:13:01 memory stick error Well, I m quite hopeless as how to solve my problem. I m 20 and I spent about all my money to buy a sony F 717 digital camera as I went to Japan last year. Now, I have two memory stick cards (128 and 32) and with both I get the following message when I insert them into the camera : "C:13:01 memory stick error". I tried to format them with my computer, and nothing changed. So I own now a 1000$ piece of junk and I don't know what to do. I live in Belgium, and there is nowhere i can ask anyone to help me solve it. I just don't know what to do...should I just throw it into the garbage ...? ALAIN

I think I found out how to utilize the Sandisk Magicgate 256mb memory stick on Sony Digital Camera. Just did it successfully! I have a DSC-P73 Sony Cyber-shot. First, I insert the Sandisk stick into the camera. Of course, I get C:13:01 memory error. Then I plug my USB cable from my camera to my computer. After that, I go to "My Computer" to find the drive that my camera is connected. Then, I right click the drive and select format. I have Window XP home edition. I click the box where it says "quick format" and click "OK" Finally, Whalla! There is connection! No more C:13:01 error! Please let me know if this works for you. Soli Deo Gloria! www.needgod.com You dont have to throw the camera out in garbage.... Its not the camera. It is the stupid sticks.....Those piece of S*it sticks. Try another stick and see what happens. Try to format the sticks on the camera. AND NEVER BUY LEXAR STICKS. I have same problem with them. SONY STICKS works fine for me. Did you ever get a response? I just got the same problem? (21 June 04) My camera is the Sony DSC S75 greetings Gerd, Dayton Ohio |
