Converting LP to SP

I was given a tape recorded in LP with the AGDV 2000 deck. I capture footage into my Editing system, using the Canopus DVstorm. When my project was completed I recorded it back to the same deck on DVCPro tape. When the tape was taking to the TV Broacast station, the tape could not be viewed. The image was distorted. Question: Could that have been because of LP recording?
