DVD Authoring

Going nuts here looking for a <$4K MPEG-2 hardware encoding solution that will do video and AC-3 in real-time. Zapex has gone, but the Digital rapids Stream1500 looks interesting. It seems more suited to web streaming then DVD production, but does anyone have any ideas in this area? Peter Corbett
