Can I use tripode with remote controller on my Panasonic NV-DS28?

I have Pansonic NV-DS28 Mini DV Camcoder, and I am looking for compatible tripod with remote controller. I am not sure that I can or can't use this kind of tripod cause I can not find where to pluged the remote.On my box say that I can buy Optional Accessories like VZ-CTR1 Tripod with remote controller.
