fuzzy lines

My Sony Trinitron model KV-32FS13 works great, for the first hour. Then horizontal lines appear about mid-screen and continue to get worse until the picture is totally distorted and the remote stops working. If I turn it off for a few minutes things improve. Suggestions for an at home fix??
