How to connect camcorder to pc?

Sony CCD-TRV16 camcorder. Bought new 4 yrs ago. No software, only a/v connectors.
PC:
Windows 98SE
Motherboard Asus VIA A7V333 KT333
Processor AMD Athlon 1700 t-bred
Graphics card Asus V9280 GeForce Ti4200 128 mb ram
AGP 8X TV-OUT & DVI

How and what all do I need to do to get the camcorder and pc to work together?
Sony hasnt responded to 2 emails, other tech boards keep talking about windows xp, firewires, digital or analog, etc.
I need somebody that will explain in english.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
