I want to increase the FM range from 76-90MHz to 88-108MHz on my car radio model MDX-C5200, Sony board number 1-669-536-12. I cant pick up any radio stations since our country transmits FM between 88MHz and 108MHz where as Japan use 76-90MHz

I want to increase the FM range from 76-90MHz to 88-108MHz on my car radio model MDX-C5200, Sony board number 1-669-536-12.

I cant pick up any radio stations since our country transmits FM between 88MHz and 108MHz where as Japan use 76-90MHz.

IS this possible with the current tuner module in the unit. IF so is it just a matter of adjusting the coils, changing a couple of components etc.

I have a basic understanding of electronics and none on RF.

Will the display show the new frequency range?
