I'm having trouble with a Sony VPL-V800Q Overhead Projector.

I'm having trouble with a Sony VPL-V800Q Overhead Projector. The error code is '88'. The manual says never to open the cover if the projector is mounted on the ceiling and the error code is '88'. It doesn't give any other guidance on what to do, though. Does anyone have any advice on addressing this problem?
