only right channel ie speaker works when playing cds.

the left speaker doesnt work when playing cds. tapes and radio are fine. there is no output from the cable that comes from the cd unit. so i presume the circuit board with the laser has a fault,
this unit is the htc-nx1 and i wondered where i could get a new laser unit in the uk or a schematic.
